IMB trustees appoint 92 missionaries, stay focused on Gospel advance.
International Mission Board trustees approved the appointment of 92 new full-time, fully funded missionaries during their May 17-18 meeting in Richmond, Virginia.

This Great Commission effort is what we are all part of at FBC as we
Glorify Christ in Worship, Discipleship, and Mission.
FBC Bettendorf gives 16% off the top to the Cooperative Program (CP). This 16% supports the Baptist Convention of Iowa (BCI), the International Mission Board (IMB), the North American Mission Board (NAMB), as well as our six Southern Baptist Seminaries and the Ethics and Religious Liberties Commission (ERLC) all of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC).
Special Offerings in addition to the 16% CP giving are also contributed. 100% of the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering (LMCO) goes to support international missionary effort through the IMB. Over 3,700 missionaries world-wide are supported by this. 100% of the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering (AAEO) goes to support North American missionary efforts through NAMB. Another 3,000 + missionaries in North America are supported by this.
We also usually take up a special offering for the Baptist Convention of Iowa (BCI) in September. Of note, the BCI voted last year to send 75% of its offering/receipts on to the SBC, leading the way of state convention giving. You can read about this historic decision HERE.
